Hello! Long time, no talk. 😊
I can’t believe it’s already the end of March. It’s been a busy, but also kind of lazy, couple of months. Work-wise, super busy. Everything else, not super busy. To be honest, I feel like I’ve taken a step back in certain areas. Maybe deep down I need it, or maybe my laziness is making an appearance and won’t go away.
Because I’ve been feeling a little disconnected with the things that I love to do, I started thinking about my goals from the beginning of the year and where I am with those (UGH). I realized I haven’t made huge strides, but instead of giving up like a lot of people might do, I’m revisiting them!
Now, I don’t want to “go easy” on myself to make the goals easier to achieve. No way Jose. Instead, I’m going to reevaluate what I need to do in the next 9 months to reach them.
Let’s take a look!
Get 25 sales on Etsy. I am 0/25 on this. 😬 But, I have been busy making a few special orders for my extremely supportive sister. I’m also working on an egg apron for a friend’s mother! I’m super excited to finish it up in the coming weeks! After I get this and another big project wrapped up, I’ll be putting some more effort into my Etsy shop. It really is something I want to do on an ongoing basis and really learn how to run it successfully, but I completely dropped the ball in the beginning of the year. I went through (and I’m still coming out of) a weird funk where I didn’t want to do anything. If you ask me what I’ve done since January, I would tell you that I’ve played Sims 4, gone to the gym, and that’s about it.
Anyways, I have lots of great resources to read and plans to execute before I get my Etsy shop back up and running smoothly. The next time I start blasting about it, I want it to be done right.
Pay off 26% more of my loans. This one I am actually ahead of schedule on! Thank you, taxes. 🙌🙌
Reach 25% body fat – an additional 5% loss. One thing I’ve really done these last three months is eat. And not like an absurd amount of food or anything, but between getaway weekends and birthdays, I’ve been letting myself enjoy it. Unless there is something very specific that I am working towards (like a wedding, vacation, etc.), then I decided I’m not going to let the fitness world ruin special moments and occasions. EAT THE DAMN CHEESECAKE, OKAY GUYS? Anyways, I’ve gained 0.1% BF and 1.5 lbs since January 2. See? Enjoying yourself in moderation won’t ruin anything.
I did Katy Hearn’s Winter Challenge this year, and I started off so well. I prepped like nobody’s business, but then I dropped off the face of the earth. I completed nearly all of my workouts, but I stopped prepping meals and did not eat very accurately in regards to my macros. I even stopped checking in with Katy, and I hate that. Honestly, she probably doesn’t care a lot, but I would hate to think that I let her down in any way. I hate letting anybody down. I don’t care who they are.
So, to make myself feel better (and to get my ass kicked), I signed up for personal training at my gym with one of my favorite trainers! It’s only three months, but he kicks my ass every time, and I’m looking forward to switching up my workout routines.
In addition to that, I signed up for a yoga class package at a place here in town that has hot yoga and regular yoga. I’ve always loved going to this place, so I’m excited that I have invested a little more of my time into it!
Listen to understand, not to reply or not at all. Still working on this for sure. It’ll be an ongoing challenge, but I have been making a conscious effort to do this as often as possible!
Put more effort into my brand. I literally wrote one idea down last weekend. So that’s where I’m at with that. 🙃 But like I mentioned in my original post, I’m not too worried about this one this year.
Make monthly or bi-monthly goals. Hmm. So, I haven’t written anything down. I only keep thinking, “Hey, Hannah. You should do this.” And then I don’t. So, I need to get better at making those small goals. For example, I need a white backdrop for my Etsy photos, and guess who hasn’t gone to the store yet for that?! THIS GIRL. 🙃
So, that is where I am at with my 2017 New Years Resolutions. I’m not too far off base, but I have some catching up to do for sure! I think so many of us make these goals at the beginning of the year, and then we forget to check in! Make a note to check in on your goals once a month – or maybe even once a week! What have you accomplished? What is next on your to-do list?
How are your 2017 or monthly goals coming along? We’re all human, so if you haven’t crushed them – or even if you need to take the first step – THATS OKAY. This is your reminder to revisit those goals and make a plan to kill it! 😊
