I love a good workout, and sometimes I need something intense to make me feel refreshed and like I accomplished something. Over the last four years I’ve tried a lot of different workout routines over the years, and I have a few go-to high intensity workouts that I just love!Continue reading “My Favorite High Intensity Workouts”
A few years ago my best friend, Shannon, told me about a tampon alternative called a Diva Cup. She explained that it was a reusable cup that you empty, clean, and use throughout your period. To be completely honest I was like, ‘Uh no thank you byyyyeee.‘ The thought of getting all up into my cooter and then dealing with the contents of the cup grossed me out. But the thought of having a reusable, cheap option kind of hung out in the back of my mind.
And then I feel like I didn’t hear a whole lot about them until the last couple of months or so. Back in March one of my favorite Instagram ladies shared a post about her Lunette Cup – another menstrual cup option on the market. I trust Jera, and I can get behind anything she trusts too. Not that I don’t trust Shannon! Oh I trust Shannon with my life, but Jera served more as a reminder that these cups were out there.
So I started to do some research – mostly on Instagram – to figure out some more information. Diva Cup and Lunette Cup’s websites have a ton of information, but I love hearing from real women using these products. I decided I was going to give it a try, and I texted Shannon full of excitement when I bought my Diva Cup! Continue reading “More Comfortable and Affordable Periods – The Diva Cup Review”
Nearly two years ago I decided to buy a new fitness watch. When I started going to the gym regularly I had a Polar FT4, which required a heart strap to measure your heart rate, but I wanted more. I wanted easier. I wanted cuter.
So, after some research I decided on the Polar A360. I wrote a first impression review in 2016, but I wrote it only after having the watch for two months. Now that it’s been almost two years, and I still love my watch, I wanted to give an update.
I’ve been tinkering with the fitness lifestyle for just over two years, and I’ve seen many different fitness coaches and programs throughout the internet and social media. There are a lot that are not a good fit for me, but there are a lot that excite me. My issue is always money. Why would I pay for a list of exercises that I can find online for free? Well, I tried that, and while I saw some successes, it wasn’t as much as I always hoped for. And then there were the weeks where I would wing it, and those were not good weeks. Nutrition is a whole other story as far as counting macros, staying accountable, and making adjustments. I never had anybody tell me to lower my fat intake by X or increase my protein by X. I needed that. Continue reading “Katy Hearn Summer Fitness Challenge Review and Progress Photos”
I am a sucker for new things. I’m a sucker for white, clean things, too. So, when I saw the Polar A360 start to pop up on some of my favorite fitness role model’s Instagrams like workoutbean and getfitbrooklyn, I was itching to try it out. I started out with Polar FT4, one of the oldest models of fitness watches. In fact, it might be the oldest. I don’t know for sure. I really liked this watch. I liked it a lot, but I wasn’t a fan of having to wear the heart rate monitor strap, and some days I would forget to even put the watch on for my workouts. I was interested in upgrading, and I was looking for a watch that could: Continue reading “Polar A360 Review”
